Description
A sturdy, tough grower, and plentiful in the wild, this species has a strong trunk with a large head of fan leaves.
Grows in open areas to approximately 65 feet tall.
Is common to see in one population palms with gray or green leaves and are known variations in the form and size of the trunk or/and size and form of the leaves and petioles.
Fruits are black and its seeds germinate easily.
Not well known in cultivation, this palm is the most hardy of all
Copernicias.
One of many palms so numerous in the wild and yet so rare in cultivation, it is a mystery why it is not more widely grown.
Tall and elegant with a blue coloration to the leaves, especially in young plants. When its many qualities are taken into account, its popularity must surely increase. Best for
warm temperate, subtropical and dry tropical areas.

Location
It grows in
lowland areas, in some locations mixed with Syagrus romanzoffiana, Trithrinax campestris.

Usage
Germination is easy and subsequent seedling growth is rather fast. It is a very rare specimen and it is commonly used by landscape designers everywhere because of its beautiful looks.
